Sleepy Skin Saviours

Whether you had one too many drinks the night before or stayed up late watching films we all get that tired and dull complexion sometimes! These are my favorite products to use when I need that little extra boost to make me look slightly alive. These are great for the dreaded Monday mornings at work where you literally cannot think of anything worse than getting out your warm bed.

Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Foundation- Since I purchased this foundation just over a month ago I literally cannot live without it. It has a gorgeous natural finish which is why I've included it. When your trying to create the appearance of more awake skin you want a base that looks naturally flawless, which this certainly does!

Origins GinZing- I love this eye cream. It makes such a difference to my under eyes. It may not have any long term benefits but it gives me that instant under eye brighten pick me up. I also find my concealer applies a lot easier too after using this.

Bobbi Brown Corrector- When your a bit on the extra baggy side this really helps eliminate those dark circles. When I haven't got that much sleep I usually put a lot more effort into my under eye concealer and find using this corrector along with my regular concealer really does the trick.

MAC Eyeshadow in Nylon- This is fab for popping in the inner corner. I haven't tried another eyeshadow that makes your eyes look as awake and big as this one. It's also great for blending all over the lid for a little extra something on the eyes.

Illamasqua Cream Blush in Lies- This product is marketed as a cream blush but I find it gives the most gorgeous dewy highlight. If you love dewy skin you NEED this product there's nothing else I've tried that gives as much of a glow as this. It has a slight pink tone but it's so sheer you can barely notice it but the colour that does pay off really does contribute to that more awake skin.

MAC Mineralize Blush in Early Morning- This blush came out with the Naturally collection a couple of months ago and it's my go to blush for putting some natural, glowy and warm colour back into my cheeks.

YSL Faux Cils Mascara- To help contribute to the wide eye effect a good helping of mascara will always be your friend. I'm a huge fan of big fat lashes anyway whatever look I'm doing but I would never skip this step when wanting freshly polished make up.

Lots of love,

My Current Favorite Eyeshadows

Clockwise- MUA Heaven & Earth Palette, MAC Ricepaper, MAC Woodwinked, MAC All That Glitters, MAC Satin Taupe, NARS Cyprus.

This post isn't full of new or exciting products pretty much just things you may have heard of before! I really wanted to talk about my favorite eyeshadow's at the moment as I am a real eyeshadow girl, I wear it everyday without fail! I'm mainly into warm toned golden or brown shades but I do love greys and purples too. These have been my go to eyeshadow's for the past few weeks and some of them combined are absolutely killer!

MUA Heaven & Earth Palette This is such an easy and affordable palette. I will generally reach for this when I'm in a rush as it's so easy to use and you can instantly find a perfect combo! I really love the gold in the palette (third from the left- top row) and prefer over Urban Decays Half Baked which is way more expensive! It's great for creating a warm toned smokey eye.

MAC Ricepaper This is a perfect all over lid colour and I've used it pretty much everyday since I purchased it. It looks really classic paired with just black winged liner.

MAC Woodwinked This is one of my old faithful eyeshadow's which I know suits me. It remains in my go to MAC quad for easy use. I just pop this on the outer corner with a bit of Ricepaper and BOOM I've got my perfect combo.

MAC All That Glitters I never really got the hype about this shadow until recently. When I first got it I kind of thought "Is that it?! The famous All That Glitter is rubbish"! It remained in my larger palette unused for quite some time until I whipped it out the other week when wanting a really natural eye. This eyeshadow looks gorgeous on it's own with lashings of mascara for effortless eye make up.

MAC Satin Taupe  I loved this shade when my hair was blonde but since going back darker I've barely reached for it until pairing it with MAC'S Soba eyeshadow. Soba and Satin Taupe create a perfect slightly darker more defined simple smokey eye.

NARS Cyprus As I said above I love golds and this eyeshadow just hits the spot! It's the perfect gold and is so buttery feeling. NARS eyeshadows are the best quality in my opinion and will never let you down. This shade looks gorgeous paired with Satin Taupe and doing my eyebrows a little stronger (for some reason).

So thats a a round up of my current eyeshadow loves, like I said I'm a bit of an eyeshadow junkie and I'm always trying out different eye looks but these shades have remained firmly to the front of my drawer for a long time.

Hope you enjoyed this post!

MAC Azalea Blossom Blush Ombre

MAC Blush Ombre in Azalea Blossom @ Debenhams £20.50

This blush is a re-promote with the new Daphne Guinness collection. I can't remember the exact collection they last collection they came out with but I remember giving them a good eye up! Over the past 1-2 years "ombré" has taken over the hair world and now it's taking over the blush world!

Azalea Blossom is a gorgeous baby pink colour that can be deepened by swirling the brush in the more purple shade in the ombré. I love this blush for everyday use as it just gives a lovely pink hue to the cheek without being too crazy.

The blush ombré's are also larger than a regular at 9 grams. A regular MAC blush is 6 grams so that's a whole extra 3 grams of product, woooo!

I wouldn't say this is a MUST have for your collection to to be completely honest I'm a little disappointed in the colour I thought it would be more "wow". However I do find it useful for everyday wear and find its an easy blush to go to without fuss!

Lots of love, Caterina xo

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer- £4.19
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural- £18.50
